best hair at the oscars

Margot Robbie‘s classic bob is the perfect length and is extremely flattering to her face shape.  The blond color is bright with tons of dimension and works perfectly with her skin tone…effortlessly beautiful.

I love the cascading waves on Chrissy Tiegen, they look extremely polished.  The volume is perfect and her hair looks simply luxurious.  It’s a style that emulates an ‘old hollywood’ glamour vibe, and I’m loving it.

trendspotting: blade runner

This season, I saw a recurring trend of sci-fi and futuristic shapes in hairstyles.  Molded, obscure shapes with a retro feel, describe the looks seen throughout the Paris fall ’14 runways.  These are some of my favorite images below, that I feel are setting a precedent for future hairstyles to come.

men’s hair trends: the undercut

The undercut has reigned over the past few years as a mainstay among the industry crowd. The key to this style is seeing the disconnection from the top layer to the sides.  This haircut made its debut in the 1920s and 30s, and resurrected with the hit show Boardwalk Empire on HBO.  To enhance this look, the best hair product is Bumble and Bumble’s Semisumo, because it’s pliable and gives the hair an incredible shine.

men’s hair trends: the quiff

The quiff is back.  An attitude-infused hairstyle, that has evolved from its 1950s rockabilly origin could also be considered a deconstructed pompadour.  This look is heavy on style and low on maintenance.  Try using Bumble and Bumble’s Sumotech to create hold, texture, and definition.
